In February we celebrated Colt's 3rd birthday. He wanted a kitty cake. After 2 years, he still likes to pretend to be a kitty and now he has picked up purring and licking to his kitty repertoire.
In March, we took the boys on their first overseas adventure to Iceland, Denmark, and Sweden. Ed and I had already been to Iceland, but it was only a 4-5 hour flight from Washington, DC. So...we thought it would be an easy flight for the kids. Tate stayed awake the entire time during the flight, but Colt decided to fall asleep the final hour. Surprisingly, Tate also walked off of the plane. Ed and I were convinced that he would need assistance considering when we landed in Iceland it was 1 or 2 am in DC.
We took the kids to Gulfoss -- A favorite of ours.

We made it to the Blue Lagoon. The kids loved it and Tate like being independent and swimming on his own.
If you ever go to Iceland, I suggest going around Easter. They have the most delicious candy-filled chocolate eggs! Both, Tate and Colt, had to have their pictures taken with the egg. I love their faces when the other is holding the egg.
We made it to Denmark and decided to take a food tour. It was awesome! The kids also loved sampling the various foods, especially Tate. Surprisingly, he loved eating the open faced sandwich (smorbrod) with fish eggs -- he ate two helpings! Tate is definitely our adventurous eater.
The kids loved the "brats" -- we call everything in a hotdog format a "brat".
Denmark has so many cyclists that they have a counter on the street.

Of course we had to go to the Lego store. The boys' favorite part of the trip was going to the Lego store.
Kurt was exhausted after a long day -- he usually fell asleep on my lap during dinner. Of course, he would wake up at midnight or one AM and nurse every two hours. I'm glad he's through that stage now!

We decided to take a day and go to Malmo, Sweden to see the Twisted Torso.

In July, we celebrated Tate's 4th birthday. My parents and Ed's mom were able to make it.
Tate wanted a Blue Bird cake. He likes to "peep" like a blue bird all of the time. It's so funny when Tate peeps and Colt meows.
The boys were in their first parade this past year. Warrenton holds a parade for children and pets. The kids enjoyed walking down the street and having everyone wave at them.
In August, we celebrated Kurt's first birthday. It was his first real sweet.
I think he really liked it.
