Fortunately, Ed convinced me to persevere with Thanksgiving dinner. I only cut myself once while making our dinner/lunch (we had Thanksgiving early so that Tate could still take his regular nap). My menu was as follows:
Turkey (recipe compliments of my sister) -- It turned out nice and moist just like a turkey should.
Cornbread Stuffing with Chorizo
Mashed Potatoes with Garlic and Mascarpone Cheese topped with Caramelized Onions
Green Bean Casserole
Sweet Potatoes and Apples with Maple Syrup and various spices
Cranberry Sauce
Pecan Pie with Chocolate Ganache

While I was preparing and cooking the food Ed watched Tate and managed the kitchen (ie -- cleaned the dishes and wiped down the counters so that everything wouldn't get out of control). It was so nice! At one point during our day, Ed and I found Tate like this...
