Brothers...

Henry Colt Matthaidess joined the family at 0327 this morning. He's a 7 LBS 3 OZ and 19.5" little fella with blue eyes and a little bit of hair. Mom and Colt are doing fine and Dad's glad he got home from WY for a few days to be here. "Dr." Tate spent a few hours with his little brother but is still waiting to make a diagnosis on what he thinks!

Baking with Tate

The other day, I decided that Tate and I would bake scones. He's watched me bake before, but this time, I decided that I would let him be more involved. It took a while, but he had a great time. His favorite thing to do was dip the spoon into the batter (luckily the batter consisted of flour, butter, sugar, and cream and not any eggs) then lick the spoon or beat the spoon against the bowl (the bowl was sturdy and was able to take the beating).

Snow Insanity and Tate

The snow finally stopped, but the work just began on Saturday. We received at least 22 inches of snow. It was unbelievable! What's even more unbelievable, we're supposed to get even more. I'm not sure where they're going to put it all. We have absolutely no more space for snow...

On a happier note: Tate is still doing cute things. Because we were house-bound for a couple of days, he was able to watch me clean A LOT (especially the kitchen). So, now he enjoys stepping on our kitchen stool and cleaning the counters with any drying cloth that might be around. I would have posted a picture of him cleaning, but they turned out blurry. So, I had to settle for him posing with the cloth on top of the stool.
