Baking with Tate

The other day, I decided that Tate and I would bake scones. He's watched me bake before, but this time, I decided that I would let him be more involved. It took a while, but he had a great time. His favorite thing to do was dip the spoon into the batter (luckily the batter consisted of flour, butter, sugar, and cream and not any eggs) then lick the spoon or beat the spoon against the bowl (the bowl was sturdy and was able to take the beating).

Beating the bowl...

Observing his spoon...

Eating the leftover batter...

Digging into the leftover batter...

Rolling out the dough (he was pretty good at it)...

Observing the baking process...

Having fun...

have you tried baking "crazy cake?" I tried it b/c I needed an egg-free cake for Nathan in case he wanted some, and it was pretty good for a dairy-free, egg-free cake (can't find just egg-free.) I can link you if you want the recipe. I made a chocolate one with some modifications.

No, I've never heard of crazy cake. Can you shoot me the link so that I can use it next time? Something makes me think that once the new baby comes, I'll need something to keep Tate entertained while we're at home
