Last weekend, Ed and I decided to bike to D.C. to see the cherry blossoms. Even though I’ve lived in D.C. before, I never made it to the Mall to see the cherry blossoms. I must say that I wasn’t disappointed. The cherry blossoms were beautiful! The bike ride was a lot of fun even though we initially had to navigate through the crowd of people making it to the festival. I think that Tate liked looking at everything while we rode our bikes…
Today, we introduced Tate to everything bird related. Earlier in the morning, we introduced Tate to our organic brown eggs, which we get from our local nursery.
Then he observed and ate the egg yolk that I boiled for him.
Even though he had a wonderful day, we hit a small snag. It seems as though Tate has a food allergy – Boo! We suspected that he may have a food allergy and we have been slowly eliminating foods. So…that being said, he’s either allergic to corn or egg yolks. I have to wait a couple of days until the rash goes away to try either the corn or the egg yolk again. Wish us luck!
Happy Easter!

Boo to food allergies! I hope you figure it out and he quickly grows out of whatever it is! I have new food allergies due to a birch tree allergy I acquired in AK. I now have cross reactions to many raw fruits and veggies (oral reactions that are quite unpleasant). I could NEVER go on a raw food diet. I have to steam or cook the allergen out. Anyway, I'm doing the allergy shot thing to see if getting rid of the birch tree allergy will help w/the food allergies. So far, no (sigh).
Anyway, great post. We have the same bike trailer and love it. Though, we haven't been able to use it here b/c there isn't really many places to ride with wide trailers like that. Soon, though...
Glad to hear from you and glad you guys are doing well. It looks like spring has hit VA! We are finally seeing it here. It is supposed to be 60 today- yeehaw!
Tell Ed hello and give that ADORABLE little Tate a hug from us.
Love the pictures. Tate is just getting cuter all of the time. The cherry blossoms are beautiful.
From experience, I would go slow on introducing foods that are more allergenic since Tate shows symptoms of having an allergy. Poor Wesley is still allergic to peanuts and certain tree nuts. At least he did outgrow eggs and dairy by the age of 3. I've been going very slowly with Nathan.
