A Pleasant Surprise

Today, Tate decided that it would be fun to play with my blanket on the couch. We spent a long time playing. He would hide under the blanket and I would have to find him. Then I had to head to the kitchen periodically to tend to freezing the corn. After I had spent a few minutes in the kitchen, Tate was being very quiet. Of course, when he's quiet, he's usually into something bad. But then I found this...

Tate loves to look at his books and pretend to read. It probably helped that I read the book, "There's a Wocket in my Pocket", earlier in the day.

My girls are the same way. They love to "read" to each other. Today, I offered to read a book to Lila and she said, "No, I will read it myself!"

We're big readers in this family (Matt and I). So, I'm really hoping that our love of books will continue to rub off on them!

My kids are readers, too. Ashlyn has so many of our books memorized, too, so she will "read" to Christopher.
