He enjoyed opening his gifts. Every time he would open a gift, he would say "WOW!". It was so cute!
A couple of days after Tate's birthday, he had his two-year appointment. He HATES going to the doctor. He even gets nervous and throws a fit when I take him to the doctor for Colt's appointments. Fortunately, he's a healthy little boy and doesn't have to go often. They took his stats and he's growing like a little weed. After a lot of coaxing, the nurse and I were able to get him to calm down long enough to take his weight, which was 28 pounds, and his height, which was 36 inches.
Tate also is doing the cutest things. It seems as though he really taken to reading (well, pretend reading and Mommy read to him). He now understands that he can get out of his bed whenever Mommy puts him into it during the afternoon for a nap or at night. Usually when I go to his room to get him after he has slept/played, books are strewn everywhere. There have even been times when I've found a book in his bed (usually it's The Golden Egg or There's a Wocket in My Pocket). The other day I opened the door after nap time expecting to see him napping because I hadn't heard a peep from his room and I found him reading a book in his little rocking chair. Too bad I didn't have a camera, but I thought that I would include this picture of him reading his book.
He's also getting really good at using his words -- he can identify various animals, vehicles, etc. Currently, we're working on letters. His Mutti bought him an ABC puzzle for his birthday. So...I have brought the puzzle out of hiding so that I can use it as a teaching aide. Even Colt likes to look at it.

I know, a puzzle may seem difficult for a two year old, but he's getting too good at putting together his Harrod's puzzle by himself. So...he needs another challenge.
Colt is also moving around like crazy. He's even fallen off of the bed -- oops! I put him into the jungle gym, but he only seems to really like it when Tate is with him.
He loves to watch Tate and play with whatever toy Tate is playing with. There are times when I have to make Tate share with Colt (I figure that it is never too soon to learn to share). Tate is learning to share. Just today, he gave Colt a track from his train to play with/chew on. I hope that they will be best buddies one day.
I thought that I would end the post with a couple of cute pictures of Colt that I took today after bath time (Colt's least favorite part of the day).

Very cute pictures! Liv and Lila are less than two years apart and are best friends. I love to watch them play together and while there are fights on and off throughout the day, usualy they are short-lived. I wish the same for your boys!
