So... Kellie seems to be addicted to checking out everyone else's Blogs, I like taking pictures on our travels, and I still have two weeks to go until school starts (I'm bored)... so here starts our Blog.
We've been in Boston for just about one month now and have been enjoying the city and being back together again.
We left Alaska in late May via the Alaska Ferry system driving Kellie's new Volvo. We both were happy that driving from Alaska to the East Coast was a little easier than when we drove up to Alaska in my old Jeep with a canoe on the roof and a trailer in the back.

The Ferry was a nice change from the long drive, and the Inside Passage was pretty, but after four days of being cramped up mostly on the boat - I affirmed that my decision to join the Army over the Navy was a good one. That said, we were able to stop in a few places we hadn't been in Alaska yet (Yakutat and Ketchikan) and I had fun playing around trying to get a few last pictures of "The Great Land."

After arriving back CONUS, we headed South for a little while and spent some time on the Oregon Coast, spent a week with my parents in Wisconsin and then got settled in Boston.

We moved into a great new apartment complex just North of Boston proper. Unfortunately, it's about 1/3 the size of our house in Alaska and twice as expensive. Unpacking and getting everything to fit was a challenge.
THE SMALL APARTMENT
Since being in Boston we've started taking in the sights and had a great 4th of July watching the U.S.S. Constitution execute it's annual "sail" down to Castle Island and Fort Independence.

So that's my two cents to get things started... the rest is up to Kellie!

Great pictures, Ed!
Moving into a smaller place really stinks. Ours isn't half the size, but still little. And, we have a postage stamp backyard, instead of a wooded acre. Can't believe I miss Alaska.
I look forward to reading more later, Kellie.
