The day was sunny and beautiful. We really enjoyed walking around the Memorial. Of course, we had to get pictures next to our respective home states.
Tate loved watching the water.
Here are some pictures of the Memorial. Ed always does a great job taking pictures…
On our way to the National Gallery of Art, Tate became very irritated. He had to eat again and no, he wasn’t going to wait. That being said, we had to stop at the Washington Monument so that I could feed him. And yes, the picture is of me outside. Fortunately, I was able to find a place where my Hooter Hider wouldn’t blow all over the place and I would flash anyone.
After I breast fed Tate, we headed to the National Gallery of Art. When we entered the Gallery, I noticed that the main entrance is modeled after the Pantheon in Rome.
I really enjoyed the National Gallery of Art. Unfortunately Tate became irritated when we started to tour the Pompeii Exhibit (the reason why we decided to go to the Gallery). We’ll definitely have to go back to the Gallery.
Ed took this picture. I really like it for some reason.
Here are some more pictures taken that day...

Love the pics. Sorry to hear he didn't always cooperate! I become jealous of parents who have the best luck when they travel. We've had whole trips nearly ruined b/c of grumpy, tired kids, despite our best efforts to keep them well-rested and fed. Olivia shouting over and over again, during a tour, that Golum (sp?) from "Lord of the Rings" was in the port wine caves (Porto, Portugal) was enough to nearly convince me to never travel with them again. Please don't ask me how Olivia has become a huge fan of LOTR.
