Happenings

It's been a while. So...I thought that I would update everyone on a few things that are going on. As you guys may already know, my baby is due in February. Unfortunately, Ed will be in training during the month of February (something we didn't anticipate happening when we originally planned to have another baby). Even though he'll be gone during the month of February, he'll still be able to come back for a couple of days for the birth. Because we have such a small window of opportunity, I've decided to be induced (not ideal, but I'm hoping for the best) on the 17th of February. Don't worry, I think that everything will be fine. Besides, it's quite possible that the baby could come on the 17th -- the doctor has the baby coming on the 24th, but the ultrasound said that the baby would be due on the 17th. So...I'm hoping that I might get lucky and the baby will come on the ultrasound date like Tate (fingers crossed). Okay...enough about that.

Earlier this month Tate had his 18 month check-up. He now realizes when he's at the doctor's office and, to say the least, he isn't happy whenever we enter the office. That being said, the doctor is happy with his progress. His stats are as follows:

Weight: 25 pounds (50 percentile)
Height: 34 1/2 inches (95 percentile)
Head: 47 3/4 centimeters

Tate is doing more and more cute things. He loves wearing my shoes.

And he loves to make various noises (ie -- airplane noises, train noises, etc.). Also, we've been trying to prepare him for the baby. I don't think that he's too excited about it because whenever I point to my belly and say "baby" he shakes his head no. I've also showed him the newborn diapers, which are very small (Ed and I forgot how small Tate was when he was born) and clothes for the new baby -- everytime I do this, he shakes his head no as well. We'll have to see how he reacts to the real thing.
